Exclusive new flavors of Borealis Foods’ plant-based ramen range, Chef Woo, are now available in 1300 Walmart stores nationwide and online. They were developed by world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay, in a partnership first facilitated by MN2S.
Borealis Foods is consciously working to bring healthier, affordable versions of ramen to consumers. With food insecurity and malnutrition very real issues for millions of Americans, it is fully committed to expanding its reach and getting flavorful, nutritious food on shelves and into people’s diets—without the high price tag that often comes attached to such products. The deal to stock Chef Woo and Ramen Express products in 1300 Walmart stores and online represents a major step forward in Borealis’ mission to reshape the convenience food market with its ground-breaking combination of peerless culinary expertise and nutritional science.
“We are thrilled to expand our distribution with Walmart as part of our mission to bring healthy and delicious ramen to more consumers nationwide while expanding our ramen offering,” says Borealis founder and CEO, Reza Soltanzadeh. “It validates the growing demand for better food options, and our Chef Woo brand is leading the way in offering a healthier alternative.”
The involvement of Gordon Ramsay, arguably the best-known chef on the planet, in helping to develop the latest Chef Woo ramen is also a significant breakthrough. The idea to collaborate on a product grew out of Ramsay’s brand ambassadorship of the existing Chef Woo brand. Now, he has helped to craft two new Asian-inspired flavors for the Ramen Noodles by Chef Ramsay range, both exclusive to Walmart: Black Garlic Beef and Shiitake Mushroom Chicken. The expanded distribution and new ranges meet the growing demand for Borealis’ organic, animal-free, protein-packed noodles. The products are made in the United States using American flour.
“It’s exciting to see how we can transform a traditional staple like ramen into something extraordinary,”
“These new flavors elevate a beloved dish into a culinary experience, blending rich, savory ingredients like black garlic and beef with the umami depth of shiitake mushrooms and chicken. I’m incredibly proud of these creations, and I can’t wait for people to enjoy them.” – Gordon Ramsay.
Getting your product stocked by the United States’ largest supermarket chain is no easy feat. But with their unique, health-focused mix of nutrition, sustainability, affordability, and commercial viability, Borealis has more than passed the test, making the decision to expand distribution and introduce new products a no-brainer.
