Recently MN2S artist and iconic musician Boy George was interviewed by music channel FUSE. In the interview Boy George addressed reports of a Culture Club reunion, speaking candidly about details of a new album and string of live dates.
The new album will feature the original line-up, Boy George himself claiming “I do think any band is a sum of its parts. That’s why when you see a great band and they replace the singer or they get someone to play drums, it never quite works. It has to be the real people.”
He also toyed with the possibility of a Sam Smith collaboration. Music fans have often compared the two singers, with many positing on the internet that Smith is similar to a 20-year-old Boy George.
Whilst Boy George can’t see the similarities himself he is still very open to working with the singer, commenting that Smith has a beautiful voice. Apparently they briefly spoke about the possibility of writing together earlier this year when they met.
In November Boy George will be embarking on a North American Tour, and there will be more live dates from Culture Club in 2015. Meanwhile for more information or to enquire about a DJ booking please visit Boy George’s artist page.
