Chicane's Nevertheless hits No. 1 in nine countries | MN2S

Chicane’s new album, Nevertheless, has topped the dance charts in nine territories.

Earlier this month, Chicane released his ninth studio album, Nevertheless. This week, Chicane has hit the No. 1 spot in nine countries: Australia, Japan, Canada, The Netherlands, France, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States and the UAE. Released via Armada Music sub-label Modena Records, Nevertheless has been well-received by both critics and fans, as Chicane explores a new facet of his sound across 13 tracks. In a statement about the new record, Chicane said: “It’s been a very exciting build up to the album’s full release, which to me is when it all properly comes to life. I hope people press play, listen to the whole thing from start to finish as it was intended to be heard, and really go on the journey that I went on.”

Chicane is an English musician, composer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for hit singles like Offshore, Saltwater (featuring Máire Brennan), and Don’t Give Up (featuring Bryan Adams). His debut album, Far from the Maddening Crowds, is considered seminal in the trance music community, and his second album, Behind the Sun, achieved gold certification in the UK. Chicane’s discography includes albums such as Somersault, Giants, Thousand Mile Stare, The Sum of Its Parts, The Place You Can’t Remember, the Place You Can’t Forget, and Everything We Had to Leave Behind. He has also collaborated under aliases like Disco Citizens and Mr. Joshua Presents Espiritu. Additionally, Chicane has contributed to a number of other projects, including executive production on Tomski’s 14 Hours to Save the Earth and a single released as Sitvac titled Wishful Thinking.
