Jon St. John reprises his role as Duke Nukem in World of Tanks’ upcoming Battle Pass: Heroes’ Paths.
Jon St. John, the voice behind one of gaming’s most distinctive characters, has been booked through MN2S to feature in World of Tanks’ upcoming Battle Pass Special: Heroes’ Paths. Running from July 10 to 21, the event brings two classic gaming franchises into the world of tank warfare, with chapters themed around Duke Nukem and Lara Croft. St. John recorded a new set of lines for the Duke Nukem chapter, bringing the character’s trademark attitude to the game. Players who progress through the Duke-themed missions can unlock a custom TS-6 heavy tank designed with direct nods to Duke’s arsenal, along with themed cosmetics and a fully voiced crew member. The partnership connects two major legacies in gaming and highlights World of Tanks’ continued focus on high-profile crossovers.
Jon St. John is a veteran voice actor best known for defining the sound and persona of Duke Nukem, the 1990s action hero who became a cultural touchstone in video games. First voicing the character in 1996, St. John’s gravelly delivery and deadpan humour helped establish Duke’s place in gaming history. Over the years, he’s continued to voice Duke in re-releases, spin-offs, and media appearances, maintaining a close connection with the character and its fanbase. Outside of the Duke franchise, St. John has lent his voice to a range of games, animations, and live performances, but Duke remains his most iconic role. His return for World of Tanks adds authenticity to the crossover and serves as a reminder of the character’s lasting appeal.
