Krystal Lake interviewed for Gay Times | MN2S

The DJ, influencer and activist spoke to Gay Times for their latest issue.

DJ, influencer, content creator, and public speaker has spoken to Gay Times as part of a profile on her career. Describing Krystal as “a known face for pushing much-needed education on topics centred on women, LGBTQ+, minorities and mental health”, the publication also noted her creative pursuits: “when she’s not doing that, Lake is taking over as an award-winning filmmaker and globe-trotting DJ”. The interview is available to read here.

The London-based creator uses her experiences as a queer Black, American woman to help uplift those struggling with issues around mental health, identity, and discrimination. Her 540k audience on TikTok has seen her named as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30, as a Top 10 Influencer by the LGBT Awards, and named as one of Vogue’s Rising Stars. Lake’s DJ career has seen her back the likes of influential rapper Ashnikko. She also worked behind the scenes at major outlets such as CNBC and UNILAD. In just three years, she spoke at Forbes, led panels at SXSW and WaterAid, and was featured by the likes of Amazon Prime, ITV, and the New York Times. From this solid foundation, she is working to grow her presence on other social platforms and off-app.
