Latvian-born singer ELIZZA spoke with Wonderland Magazine as part of a profile exploring the genesis of her dreamy pop sound and her latest single “Want To Keep” premiered by Wonderland in February.
Wonderland Magazine recently interviewed ELIZZA, a singer-songwriter originally from Latvia. Now based in London, she graduated from the prestigious British and Irish Modern Music Institute in 2014. The interview explored her creative process and her elusive, perpetually evolving sound.
“Whatever 2020 has in store, there’s nothing stopping ELIZZA’s steadfast commitment to chasing her childhood dream.”Wonderland Magazine
At the age of 18, ELIZZA moved to London to pursue her goals of becoming a professional singer and songwriter. With a sound that she describes as “dreamy, poetic, and honest”, her music combines edgy pop beats, soaring vocals, and recurring electronic influences. Towards the end of 2019, she released “Can’t Quit”, an infectious track in which she describes a crazed love story and toxic addiction. Her most recent single, “Want To Keep”, was released on Valentine’s Day and premiered on Wonderland.
“It’s very exciting… I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I just love where I’m at at the moment with the people I’m working with [and] the feedback I’m getting.”ELIZZA
