Model, influencer, cancer survivor and health coach Kelly Crump has been profiled by British newspaper the Evening Standard. In the interview, she speaks about her breast cancer diagnosis, and how she has found empowerment by sharing her personal story via Instagram. “I want to show people that you don’t have to always give up,” Crump says. “You can do the things that you’ve dreamed about doing and keep going. As we have new drugs and treatments, people are living longer so it’s important to live your life and find joy.”

Kelly Crump strives to spread awareness of the illness and counsel patients on how to get well and carry on with their lives following diagnosis and treatment. She also teaches loved ones how to support a cancer patient’s friends and family. Her work has a wide range of positive effects on people, from inspiring them to get up and exercise to boosting their self-esteem after surgery. Crump has over 24,000 Instagram followers, participates in 100-kilometer charity walks and half-marathons, and is the first woman with active cancer and a mastectomy scar to model for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
