MN2S PR client Raisthorpe Manor was profiled in the Yorkshire Post as part of a feature on the Yorkshire Wolds.
Gin and food manufacturer Raisthorpe Manor has been featured in the Yorkshire Post as part of an article covering how the business has benefitted from its location in the Yorkshire Wolds, a region named by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in the UK. The family-run business is headed up the Medforth family, who have farmed at the Raisthorpe estate since 1969. Speaking to the Yorkshire Post about how the estate’s location has fuelled the business’ success, Julia Medforth says: “We obviously love it out here and we used to water from the underground springs called the Gypsy Race. “We use the water to produce our gin and it runs underneath Raisthorpe. There are lots of fissures underneath the cracks under the chalk. The Wolds are very chalky, so it has naturally filtered spring water; it runs all the way down through the valleys to Bridlington. It’s unique to Raisthorpe.”
