The actor was booked through MN2S to speak at for a second time a virtual event for Hampton University entitled “Deeply Rooted: Cultivating the Power of Your Authenticity.”
Presented by Hampton University’s Student Counselling Center, “Deeply Rooted” took place on January 27th, featuring a virtual talk delivered by Michael Rainey Jr. The actor spoke to the Student Counseling Center about the power of authenticity, and how students can integrate this authenticity into their own lives. He also spoke on the importance of mental health, and how vulnerability and authenticity intersect with our mental wellness. Now, the University has invited Michael Rainey Jr. back for a second time, to take part in a follow-up event. Focusing on similar themes, the event will see the actor participate in a Q&A with students, before taking part in a Meet & Greet with a select few lucky students.
Michael Rainey Jr. is best known for his role as Tariq St. Patrick on the popular television series Power. He has also starred in the spin-off series Power Book II: Ghost, and made appearances in Hollywood movies such as 211 and Amateur.
