Hayden James is an Australian DJ, songwriter, and record producer known for his distinct blend of emotive house and soulful electronica. After establishing a significant partnership with the Future Classic label early in his career, Hayden James went on to release his debut single ‘Permission to Love’ in June 2013. This was quickly followed by his self-titled debut EP, Hayden James, released on August 30, 2013. This foundational period saw James embark on professional engagements, securing prominent support slots for acclaimed artists such as Disclosure and Odesza on their extensive tours across the USA and Australia, which commenced in 2013.
During this prolific period, James also contributed to Katy Perry’s acclaimed album Witness, co-writing several tracks, before releasing the single ‘Numb’ featuring Graace in October 2017. His highly anticipated debut studio album, Between Us, arrived on June 14, 2019, which led to a world tour and an ARIA nomination, featuring collaborations with artists like NAATIONS and Panama. The track ‘Better Together’ also earned him an APRA Award for Most Performed Dance Work of the Year in 2020. Continuing his prolific output, James unveiled his second studio album, Lifted, on April 8, 2022.
The following year, in July 2023, he collaborated with Bob Moses on the well-received single ‘Do You Want Me,’ further showcasing his versatility and collaborative spirit within the electronic music landscape.
