Antoine Clamaran

Antoine Clamaran-Danzelle was born on November 8, 1964, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. His early career involved playing on radio stations before securing a residency at the Parisian club “Palace,” where he performed every Sunday. In 1992, he began producing music in collaboration with Laurent Pautrat. Their first production, “I’ve got music in me” by 400 Hz, was released on House Trade Records and subsequently licensed by BMG France, selling over 100,000 units. This early success established Clamaran as a promising producer in the French music scene.

Following his initial production success, Clamaran began receiving requests for remixes from various record companies. He remixed tracks for artists such as Calvin Stone (“Funky Music”), Jean Michel Jarre (“Oxygene”), Gloria Estefan (“Party Time”), Dead or Alive (“You Spin Me Round”), and Euro Smash (“Encore Une Fois”). He also released his own productions under various aliases including Carayca, 400 Hz, D-Plac, LAC, Unchain, and House Train. By 1998, his productions under the name Omega, specifically “Dreaming Of A Better World,” “Peace & Harmony,” and “The Mission,” achieved gold status in France, each selling 250,000 units.

In 1999, Clamaran shifted his focus to house music and began producing under his own name, aiming for international markets. His tracks “Do The Funk,” “Get Up,” and “After” were recognized for their “french filtered sound” and were licensed by the US-based label Filtered Records, appearing on the Discoland EP. These releases garnered support from international DJs including Boris Duglosch, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Danny Rampling, and Robbie Rivera. That same year, Clap Production, Clamaran and Pautrat’s label, merged with Penso Positivo, co-founded by DJ Claude Monnet. Clamaran took on roles as producer and A&R for four labels within Penso Positivo: Academy, North Club, House Trade Records, and Basic Traxx. In 2000, he achieved chart success with Vibration INC and maintained residencies at prominent Parisian clubs, Les Bains Douches and Le Queen. His album “Spotlight” (2009) featured the single “Gold,” which reached number 5 in Russia and topped the Moscow Airplay Chart.
