Daniela Di Lillo, known professionally as Nora En Pure, was born on July 20, 1990, in Johannesburg, South Africa, to a South African mother and a Swiss father. She relocated to Switzerland during her early childhood. Raised in an environment that fostered musical appreciation, Di Lillo learned to play various instruments from a young age, engaging with classical music, pop, and rock before entering the electronic music scene. Her formative years and connection to nature have significantly influenced her sound, which often incorporates organic elements, tribal percussion, and traditional Western instrumentation like piano, strings, and wind instruments.
Nora En Pure gained early recognition for her single “Come With Me” in 2013, which spent over seven months in Beatport’s Top 100 download list. This achievement marked a turning point in her career, leading to international touring opportunities and appearances at major festivals. She has been an integral part of the Helvetic Nerds group in Switzerland, maintaining a long-standing studio and label partnership with Christian Hirt, owner of Enormous Tunes.
