Ralf Gum began his music career in 1990 as a DJ. By 1993, he had established himself within the house music scene. He has since become known for his innovative approach to soulful house music, aiming to redefine conventional genre boundaries. His work includes numerous productions, mixes, and DJ sets that have gained international recognition. Ralf Gum’s career progression has seen him transition from a DJ to an established producer and label founder, consistently pushing creative boundaries within his genre.
Over the years, Ralf Gum has released a consistent stream of music, often collaborating with various vocalists and artists. He founded GOGO Music, an independent label that supports soulful house artists. His discography includes releases like “Baleea” with Mahabhuke, “Higher Better Faster” featuring Clara Hill, “Fire” with Trigmatic, and “Still I Rise” with Earl W Green. He has also released several EPs, such as “Dubs For The Clubs 3” and “Dubs For The Clubs EP2.” His studio albums include “Progressions,” his fourth studio album. Ralf Gum’s dedication to his craft is also evident in his social work, such as his involvement with the Bukho Bami Youth Centre in Soweto, South Africa, through GOGO Music charity initiatives.
