Ralf Gum

Ralf Gum established himself as a foundational figure within the house music scene by 1993, pioneering an innovative approach to soulful house music since the start of his DJ career in 1990. Through his consistent releases and influential DJ sets, he quickly gained international recognition, setting the stage for his impactful career transition into an esteemed producer and label founder. A testament to his early success, his album In My City was selected as the Best Dance Album of 2014 by iTunes, coinciding with his feature on the cover of USA’s BWD Magazine the same year. Demonstrating his prolific output, Gum founded GOGO Music, an independent label dedicated to championing soulful house artists, and has since overseen a consistent stream of releases.

Looking ahead to 2025, his schedule includes an Ireland debut at Cyprus Avenue in July, alongside further anticipated collaborations such as ‘Baleea’ with Mahabhuke and ‘Higher Better Faster’ featuring Clara Hill. Beyond his musical endeavors, Gum demonstrates a commitment to social impact through GOGO Music charity initiatives, supporting the Bukho Bami Youth Centre in Soweto, South Africa. His work consistently redefines genre boundaries, marking him as a significant and enduring figure in soulful house music globally.
