Skratch Bastid has established himself as a prominent DJ and producer, transitioning from battle victories to a global ambassadorial role in the DJ community. After securing his first victory at the highly competitive Scribble Jam DJ Battle in 2003, Skratch Bastid quickly established himself as a formidable force in the turntablism scene. He solidified his dominance with subsequent wins at the prestigious Scribble Jam DJ Battle in both 2004 and 2007, marking a significant rise in the global DJ battle circuit and laying the foundation for his acclaimed career as a DJ and producer. Skratch Bastid expanded his artistic output with the release of his collaborative album, ‘Taking Care of Business,’ alongside John Smith and Pip Skid, on his own First Things First Records label in 2005.

In 2010, he launched ‘Bastid’s BBQ,’ a unique series of daytime block-party style events designed to blend music, culture, and community engagement, which has since grown into a highly anticipated fixture in various cities.
