Ally Venable

Ally Marie Venable was born on April 7, 1999, in Kilgore, Texas. Her musical journey began early, and by the age of 14, she had released her debut EP, “Wise Man” (2013). This early release garnered attention within the Texas blues scene, quickly establishing her as a promising talent. Her foundational work laid the groundwork for her future success, showcasing her guitar playing, singing, and songwriting abilities from a young age.

Venable’s career progressed with the release of her first album, “No Glass Shoes,” in 2016. This album, produced in collaboration with Connor Ray Music, reached number 16 on the RMR Electric Blues Charts. The album’s success marked a significant milestone, earning her recognition as a “must-see act for under-30-year-olds” by America’s Blues Scene. In 2018, her second album, “Puppet Show,” debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart, further solidifying her presence in the blues genre. She continued to release music, including “Texas Honey” in 2019, accompanied by a video directed by John Chambers.

A notable turning point in Venable’s career came in 2019 when she participated in the Ruf Records Blues Caravan. This tour involved over 60 shows across Europe, where she performed alongside Ina Forsman from Finland and Katarina Pejak from Serbia. This international exposure significantly broadened her audience and critical acclaim. Her discography expanded with “Heart of Fire” (2021) and “Real Gone” (2023), leading up to her highly anticipated 2025 releases, including the album “Money & Power” and singles like “Keep Me In Mind,” “Money & Power” (single), “Unbreakable” featuring Shemekia Copeland, and “Do You Cry.” Ally continues to tour globally, including a planned UK tour in October 2025, maintaining her commitment to sharing blues music with diverse audiences and inspiring new musicians.
