M2 Labs officially endorsed Megan Cannon of Seattle's Instant Crush, as seen in an Instagram post. The details of the endorsement were communicated by Hector.
Megan Cannon, a native of the Seattle, Washington area, began her musical career by creating music in her bedroom. She later formed the band Instant Crush with fellow musicians Matthew Tran, Keegan Mangahas, and Zoee Mangahas. The group aims to modernize the early 2000s music genre by combining synths, guitar riffs, and vocals. Their music focuses on themes expressed through personal lyrics. Instant Crush operates with the goal of creating music that resonates with individuals who engage in self-reflection.
Instant Crush has performed alongside various acts, including Del Water Gap, the Home Team, the Wrecks, the Plain White T’s, Daisy Grenade, and the Academic. This has contributed to their establishment within the alternative music scene. Their debut album, released in 2024, reflects Cannon’s personal journey over three years, documenting her self-discovery and emotional experiences. The album incorporates shimmery synths, electric guitar riffs, and vocals, drawing inspiration from artists such as Bloc Party, the Killers, and Paramore.
Demonstrating a commitment to community involvement, Instant Crush has partnered with Share It Music, a nonprofit record label in Seattle. A portion of the proceeds from their debut album is allocated to the Joyful Heart Foundation. This foundation works to address sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, supporting survivors and advocating for an end to such violence. The band continues to blend pop and alternative influences, seeking to introduce a distinct sound to the Seattle music community.
