Ambar Carolina Crúz Rodriguez, professionally known as Ambar Lucid, was born on January 2, 2001, in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Her early life included periods spent between the Dominican Republic and New Jersey, and she was raised by a Dominican mother and Mexican father. Ambar developed an early interest in music, beginning to sing at age five and later teaching herself to play piano, guitar, and ukulele. Her career began with posting song covers on YouTube before she moved to Los Angeles to pursue music professionally, opting to leave high school prior to her senior year.
