Bailey Myown Bryan was born on January 31, 1998, in Freeland, Washington, and grew up in Sequim, Washington. She began writing songs at the age of 12 and later performed as a busker. Her early musical development involved singing on her church’s worship team. Bryan signed a publishing deal and relocated to Nashville to further her career, marking a significant step in her professional journey. Her artistry draws from a mix of pop, R&B, country, and hip-hop styles, with influences including Taylor Swift and The Chicks.
In 2016, Bryan was nominated as an Artist of Tomorrow by the Grammys by Hillary Scott. The following year, she released her debut single, “Own It,” which reached number 60 on the U.S. Country Airplay chart. Her debut extended play, “So Far,” was released in April 2017. Bryan’s career continued with the release of a country/pop sophomore EP titled “Perspective” in October 2019, which included five singles. In June 2020, she started defining her music as SBB (“Sensitive Bad Bitches”), a shift towards an R&B/pop sound. The lead single “Fresh Start” from her upcoming project was released in December 2020, with a commitment to release a new track monthly. Bryan has toured with artists such as Kane Brown, Dan + Shay, and Kelsea Ballerini, performing for live audiences across the country.
