Band-Maid combines a distinctive maid aesthetic with hard rock and heavy metal music, delivering a unique live performance for global audiences. After releasing their debut mini-album ‘Maid in Japan’ in January 2014, Band-Maid quickly established a distinctive presence in Tokyo’s live music scene with their unique fusion of hard rock and heavy metal presented through a maid aesthetic. The band, comprised of Miku Kobato, Saiki Atsumi, Kanami T?no, Misa, and Akane Hirose, gained international recognition in April 2015 when their ‘Thrill’ music video garnered significant online traction. Following their signing with Pony Canyon in late 2020, ‘Unseen World,’ their fourth full-length album, debuted at No. 8 on Oricon and No. 1 on the Oricon Rock Albums chart in January 2021. That year also saw a cameo appearance in the Netflix film ‘Kate,’ featuring their songs ‘Blooming’ and ‘Choose Me.’ Their track ‘Choose Me’ was also prominently used in the 2022 US TV series ‘Peacemaker.’ Demonstrating significant live draw, Band-Maid opened for legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses on their ‘We’re F’N’ Back!
Tour’ in November 2022 and supported The Last Rockstars on their American tour dates in February 2023, performing at major festivals including Lollapalooza. Highlighting their collaborative reach, they released ‘Bestie’ in April 2024, co-written with Mike Einziger of Incubus, and their fifth full-length album, ‘Epic Narratives,’ was released in September 2024, ahead of their scheduled EP ‘Scooooop’ in October 2025.
