Band Of Horses

Band of Horses is an American rock band that has achieved critical acclaim and commercial success, including a Grammy nomination, establishing a consistent presence in the alternative music scene. After gaining significant attention from Sub Pop after performing as an opening act for Iron & Wine, Band of Horses released their ‘Tour EP’ in 2005, which was distributed at shows and through Sub Pop’s website. The group followed this with their debut full-length album, ‘Everything All the Time,’ recorded in 2005 with producer Phil Ek and released on March 21, 2006. This acclaimed debut, which included new versions of songs from their EP, achieved minor commercial success in Scandinavia and saw the band perform their track ‘The Funeral’ on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ in 2006.

The band toured extensively following this release, including notable performances at major international festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, T in the Park, Bridge School Benefit concert, and Roskilde Festival, all in 2008. The period between 2007 and 2017 featured a stable touring lineup, during which the band released their critically acclaimed album, ‘Infinite Arms,’ in 2010. This album debuted impressively at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and subsequently earned a Grammy Award nomination in 2011 for Best Alternative Album. This prolific era also saw the release of ‘Mirage Rock’ in 2012, followed by the live album ‘Acoustic at the Ryman’ in 2014.

Looking ahead, the band is set to release a collaboration EP, ‘Making Good Time,’ with Iron & Wine in 2025, underscoring their ongoing creative partnerships and anticipated future projects.
