Bibi

Kim Hyeong-seo, known professionally as Bibi, was born in Ulsan, South Korea, on September 27, 1998, and spent her formative years in Changwon. Her artistic journey began at the age of 15, where she found expression in writing lyrics as a means to communicate unspoken thoughts. This early engagement with songwriting laid the groundwork for her eventual career in music. Her talent was first publicly recognized in 2018 when she participated in the SBS competition show ‘The Fan’, achieving a runner-up position, which marked a significant turning point in her emerging career.

Bibi officially debuted in 2019 with the single “Binu” under Feel Ghood Music, an agency she joined in 2017 after her self-produced songs on SoundCloud caught the attention of Yoon Mi-rae. Her sound, characterized by a blend of R&B, hip-hop, and K-pop influences, quickly established her as a distinctive voice in the industry. Her career has seen steady growth, marked by significant releases such as her second extended play, ‘Life is a Bi…’, in April 2021, and her collaboration single “The Weekend” with 88rising in October of the same year. “The Weekend” achieved commercial success, peaking at number 29 on the Mediabase Top 40 chart, positioning her as the first Korean female soloist to reach this milestone. In November 2022, she released her first studio album, ‘Lowlife Princess: Noir’.

Beyond her musical endeavors, Bibi has also made notable strides in acting. In 2023, she took on a lead role in the film ‘Hopeless’, for which she received critical acclaim, including a nomination for Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and a win for Best New Actress – Film at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2024. Her acting portfolio also includes appearances in television series such as ‘The Worst of Evil’ (2023) and ‘Gangnam B-Side’ (2024). In March 2025, Feel Ghood Music announced her first world tour, ‘Eve’, further expanding her global presence. Her second studio album, ‘Eve: Romance’, was released in May 2025.
