Black Stone Cherry

Black Stone Cherry is an American hard rock band known for its blend of hard rock and Southern rock, consistently releasing albums that achieve chart success and touring globally. After forming in 2001, Black Stone Cherry quickly established itself as a formidable force in American hard rock. The band released their first demo CD, ‘Rock N’ Roll Tape’, in 2003, followed by their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in May 2006. This initial success culminated in a homecoming gig that drew an impressive 1500 attendees, solidifying their growing fan base.

In 2015, Black Stone Cherry further cemented their festival presence by headlining Download Festival’s second stage and concurrently released their first live DVD, ‘Thank You: Livin’ Live’. That same year, the band signed with Mascot Label Group, a partnership that yielded their fifth album, ‘Kentucky’, in 2016, which immediately soared to number one on the Billboard Hard Rock albums chart. Building on this momentum, Black Stone Cherry diversified their discography with their first cover EP, ‘Black to Blues’, in 2017, followed by their sixth album, ‘Family Tree’, in 2018. That year, they delivered a powerful performance as main support to Guns N’ Roses at the Download Festival, playing to an audience of 100,000 people.

15. In 2021, the band performed a memorable show at the Royal Albert Hall, which was subsequently documented and released as the live album/DVD ‘Live from the Royal Albert Hall…Y’All’ in 2022. Following Jon Lawhon’s departure in 2021, Steve Jewell joined the lineup on bass. Black Stone Cherry released their eighth studio album, ‘Screamin’ at the Sky’, in 2023, showcasing their continued artistic evolution.

In 2025, they are set to release ‘This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD Album’, continuing their prolific output and consistently delivering high-energy performances to dedicated fans worldwide.
