R&B duo Chloe x Halle is made up of sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey. They are best known for being represented by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment label, their five Grammy nominations and for starring in Grown-ish.
Hailing from Georgia, Chloe x Halle began their career at an early age, earning minor acting roles, including in Fighting Temptations and Let It Shine. In 2012, they launched their YouTube channel where they uploaded covers of popular songs, which led to their discovery by their future mentor Beyoncé. In 2015, they signed to Beyoncé’s label Parkwood Entertainment.
The sister duo boasts an impressive discography, made up of two albums, a mixtape and an EP, all written and arranged in their home studio. Their debut EP Sugar Symphony was released in 2016, followed up the next year with their debut mixtape The Two Of Us. 2018 marked a milestone year for the superstars. Starring in Freeform’s Grown-ish, with Chloe and Halle playing siblings Jazlyn and Skylar Forster, respectively, the show catapulted the duo to international fame, with their single Grown being used as the title track. The same year, Chloe x Halle performed at Coachella and released their debut album, The Kids Are Alright, earning two Grammy Award nominations for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
2020 saw the release of Ungodly hour, their second studio album, which was again recognised by the Grammy Awards, with nominations for Best Progressive R&B Album, Best R&B Song and Best Traditional R&B Performance. Do It, the lead single from the album, impressively charted on the Billboard Hot 100. With the duo boasting over seven million followers across their social media profiles, more music set for release in the next few years, and Halle pinned to star alongside Melissa McCarthy as Ariel in a new Disney production of The Little Mermaid, the future is bright for Chloe x Halle.
