Christopher Martin is someone who has managed to shine brightly on his native Jamaican scene despite how much talent the country produces. He has real stage presence and swagger, oozes talent and has considerable sex appeal, and all these things have helped him and his strong vocals pick up fans around the world. A modern artist with a distinctive style, Martin won the Digicel Rising Stars talent competition and then made history as the first ever Alumnus from the show to go on and secure a hit single on the Jamaican charts with his big track ‘Love is all We Need’.
Since then he has joined the Big Yard label (home to the likes of Shaggy) and has had plenty more big tracks including ‘Take My Wings’, ‘Nah Go Change’, ‘Tonight’, and many others. Alongside these solo hits are collabs with the likes of Robert Livingston of Big Yard, Shane Brown of Jukeboxx, Arif Cooper of Fresh Ear Productions amongst others. All this means Christopher is an in demand star with everyone wanting a piece of him. He has worked as brand ambassador for KFC Jamaica, has had his music used by the Caribbean tourist board and also works with mobile operator Digital. The premier of his Under the Influence song picked up a million views in under 24 hours and so his fan base continues to grow and grow. As a live artist he is just as in demand and plays shows all over Asia, Europe and the rest of the world.
