American Authors, an American rock band originally formed in Boston and now based in New York City, has made significant strides in the music industry since their inception in 2006. Comprising lead vocalist and guitarist Zac Barnett, bassist Dave Rublin, and drummer Matt Sanchez, the band initially performed under the name The Blue Pages. Their early years were marked by performances and the release of their single “Run Back Home” in 2010, which laid the groundwork for their future success.
In 2012, the group rebranded as American Authors and quickly gained traction after signing with Mercury Records. Their debut single, “Believer,” captured the attention of alternative rock radio, but it was their 2013 hit “Best Day of My Life” that propelled them into the mainstream. The song not only topped charts but also became a cultural staple, featured in commercials and films, showcasing the band’s ability to create music that resonates widely.
The release of their debut album, “Oh, What a Life,” in 2014 solidified their status as rising stars in the industry. The album’s success was followed by their second album, “What We Live For,” in 2016, which included the popular single “Go Big or Go Home.” Their third studio album, “Seasons,” released in 2019, further demonstrated their evolution as artists, with a diverse range of sounds and themes.
Continuing their momentum, American Authors released their fourth album, “Best Night of My Life,” in 2023, featuring the title track and other successful singles. As they move forward with their fifth studio album, “Call Your Mother,” set for release in 2024, the band remains committed to their craft, consistently delivering engaging music that connects with audiences around the world.
