Darren Criss

Darren Criss is an acclaimed actor, singer, and songwriter known for his award-winning performances across television, film, and Broadway productions. After gaining initial recognition for playing Harry Potter in StarKid Productions’ ‘A Very Potter Musical’ in 2009, Darren Criss achieved widespread fame for his role as Blaine Anderson on the Fox television series ‘Glee’ from 2010 to 2015. His independent EP, ‘Human,’ released in 2010, peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums chart.

He also co-founded the indie pop band Computer Games with his brother Chuck Criss, and released his solo EP ‘Homework’ in 2017, which topped the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. He took on executive producer roles for projects including the series ‘Royalties’ (2020), which he also starred in and created, and ‘Hollywood’ (2020). In 2021, Criss co-wrote the single ‘Starting Now’ for Brandy and released his festive album ‘A Very Darren Crissmas.’ He returned to Broadway in 2022, performing in the acclaimed revival of ‘American Buffalo.’ Most recently, in 2025, Criss won two Tony Awards for ‘Maybe Happy Ending,’ for Best Actor in a Musical and as a co-producer, becoming the first Asian American actor to win in the leading actor category. Beyond his performances, Criss is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, actively supporting The Trevor Project.
