Half Alive is an American rock band that gained recognition with their breakthrough single “Still Feel.” They continue to produce music, tour globally, and collaborate with diverse artists. After accumulating 4 million Spotify streams by July 2018 for their debut EP ‘3,’ Half Alive established themselves as an innovative American rock band known for their unique sound and captivating visuals. Formed in 2016, the band, initially featuring Josh Taylor (vocals) and Brett Kramer (drums), released their first single ‘The Fall’ on April 24, 2017, simultaneously with the ‘3’ EP. Recorded in a converted helicopter hangar in the Mojave Desert, ‘3’ also spawned the single ‘Aawake at Night’ on November 6.
The band made their late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2019, coinciding with the release of their debut studio album, ‘Now, Not Yet,’ on August 9, 2019, which peaked at number 15 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. Building on this momentum, Half Alive expanded their discography with the EP ‘In Florescence’ in 2020, offering orchestral reinterpretations of tracks from ‘Now, Not Yet.’ In 2021, the band performed at the Life Is Beautiful Music & Art Festival and joined Twenty One Pilots on their Takeover Tour as an opening act, significantly expanding their live audience.
