David Timothy Dunn, born in Midland, Texas, initially pursued an engineering degree at Texas Tech University, graduating with honors. During his college years, he began his journey as an acoustic singer-songwriter. This period culminated in recording his first full-length album during his senior year. Following his graduation, Dunn embarked on a year-long humanitarian and missions trip to Africa, which he credits as a significant period of personal growth and provided inspiration for his songwriting.
Upon returning to the United States, Dunn decided to fully commit to his musical career, moving to Nashville, Tennessee. His talent gained national attention when he appeared on the second season of NBC’s ‘The Voice.’ This exposure further solidified his path in music. As a contemporary Christian artist, he signed with BEC Recordings, releasing several EPs and albums.
