Del Water Gap, the indie pop project of Samuel Holden Jaffe, has cultivated a dedicated fanbase through his songwriting and production, leading to collaborations and tours with established artists. After his single ‘Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat’ garnered widespread attention following a viral Instagram video in 2020, Samuel Holden Jaffe, performing as Del Water Gap, established himself as a compelling voice in indie pop. Released through Atlantic Records, the track achieved RIAA gold certification in 2024 for 500,000 sales, cementing its widespread impact. Prior to this, Del Water Gap cultivated his sound with early releases, including a self-titled EP in 2013 and the EP ‘1 (646) 943 2672’ in 2017, notable for its unique fan interaction via a burner phone number.

He has also opened for artists such as Halsey, girl in red, and Holly Humberstone, alongside commanding stages at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds, and Austin City Limits. Demonstrating continued momentum into 2025, Del Water Gap performed at Lollapalooza and released the single ‘How To Live.’ He further unveiled the single ‘Marigolds,’ providing a preview of his highly anticipated third studio album, Chasing the Chimera, which is set for release in November 2025.
