Dogstar is an American alternative rock band that emerged from Los Angeles in 1994, featuring the dynamic talents of drummer Robert Mailhouse, bassist Keanu Reeves, and guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose. The band quickly gained attention for their energetic performances and unique sound, which blended elements of rock and pop. Their debut EP, “Quattro Formaggi,” released in 1996, showcased their early musical prowess and set the stage for their first album, “Our Little Visionary,” which, despite being distributed only in Japan, garnered a dedicated fanbase worldwide.
In 1999, Dogstar released their second album, “Happy Ending,” produced by notable figures Michael Vail Blum and Richie Zito. Their return was marked by a successful performance at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival in May 2023, where they debuted new material alongside classic hits. The release of their third album, “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” on October 6, 2023, has been met with enthusiasm, showcasing their growth and evolution as artists.
