FARR

FARR, an alt R&B duo, consists of vocalist and producer Roméo and producer and multi-instrumentalist Linden Jay. Their music combines elements of R&B, alternative, soul, indie, and pop, resulting in a sound suitable for diverse settings, from festivals to intimate gatherings. Their forthcoming EP, “Blink Twice If You’re Okay,” highlights Roméo’s vocals in conjunction with Linden’s production, which includes beats, strings, and horns, contributing to their established musical identity.

Formed in 2017, FARR developed from individual artistic collaborations into a cohesive musical unit. Linden, a GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer based in London, has a professional history that includes work with artists such as Doja Cat, Joji, Duke Dumont, and Stormzy. Roméo, based in Los Angeles, has a background as a classically-trained violinist, which has influenced his melodic approach. He has also provided vocals and production for artists like Erick The Architect, Joey Bada$$, and Gorgon City. The duo has accumulated over 100 million streams and currently maintains more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The genesis of FARR involved an initial collaboration organized by a friend, leading to their first release, ‘Down.’ What began as a series of collaborations evolved into a formal duo after several successful tracks. Their creative process leverages modern technology for cross-continental collaboration, utilizing platforms like WhatsApp and Facetime to develop tracks before finalizing them in person. They focus on creating music that evokes feeling, prioritizing emotional impact over the speed of creation. Subsequent singles included ‘Blades’ in 2017 and ‘Rebel Soul’ in 2017.
