One of the U.K.’s most exciting and freshest acts, singer/songwriter Gabzy describes his music as “something you cannot put in a box”. The rising artist has contributed to multiple genres since first causing a buzz on the music scene, from Hip-Hop and Afro-pop to Reggae, Dancehall, Pop and R & B to name just a few. Gabzy exploded onto the scene in 2017 when he collaborated on 4 track EP Summers with American producer melvitto. Gabzy’s stunning vocals combined with melvitto’s smooth yet punching production style combined to create an incredible new sound, and the addictive track ‘In Fact’ has notched up more than 28 million listens on Spotify.
Gabzy continued to turn heads with his critically acclaimed debut solo EP Malone in December 2020. Malone earned him a rapidly growing fan base and his first sold out headline show at the iconic Islington Assembly hall in North London. In 2022 he dropped the highly anticipated follow up to Malone, At The End Of The Night EP, followed by his first UK tour.
The South East Londoner may still be a fresh face on the scene, but he has been grafting away at his music for some time. He began rap battling his peers back in 2012 when he was still at school, and in began recording music the same year when he joined a movement of artists called “The Good Life”. Two years later he began to write, sing and rap on his own tracks. Gabzy then travelled to American where he met melvitto, and the rest is history.
