Green River Ordinance

Green River Ordinance achieved their first major chart success in 2009 with their major-label debut, Out of My Hands, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart through Virgin Records following their signing with Capitol Records. The album spawned two commercially successful singles: ‘Come On,’ which reached No. 17 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart in 2009, and ‘On Your Own,’ charting at No.

37 on the same list in 2010. Prior to their major label signing, the band built a strong touring reputation, performing opening gigs with Flickerstick in Texas as early as 2003, and sharing stages with Collective Soul, Eisley, and Mutemath in 2005. Their initial independent releases, the full-length album The Beauty of Letting Go (2005) and the EP Way Back Home (2007), were both released on the independent label For Mona. From 2009 to 2010, Green River Ordinance solidified their media presence with music featured in over 20 television shows including So You Think You Can Dance, The Hills, and The Young and the Restless, alongside music videos broadcast on MTV and VH1.

1 on the Folk Albums chart. Demonstrating their commitment to social causes, the band launched their own charity site in 2010 and contributed ‘Don’t Give Up’ to the International Justice Mission’s Freedom compilation that same year, also supporting Bon Jovi at ‘Concerts for the Coast.’ The band, comprising Josh Jenkins (vocals, guitar, piano), Geoff Ice (bass, background vocals), Denton Hunker (drums), Joshua Wilkerson (guitar, background vocals), and Jamey Ice (lead guitar, mandolin, banjo), most recently released their single ‘For Old Times’ Sake’ in 2024, continuing their legacy of diverse rock music and consistent fan engagement.
