Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers deliver high-energy performances that blend rock, funk, and folk, resonating with audiences nationwide. After releasing his debut album The Hard Times LP in 2009, followed by the Sleeping Giant EP in 2010, Joe Hertler officially formed Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers in 2010. The band, featuring guitarist Ryan Hoger, bassist Kevin Pritchard, keyboardist Shawn Adams, saxophonist Aaron Stinson, and drummer Rick Hale, made their debut performance at Mittenfest in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In November 2011, they released their debut album, On Being, through Bigger Brush Media.
This period marked their first major festival appearances, including the CMJ Music Marathon in Brooklyn, New York, the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan, the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan, and the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, between 2011 and 2013. The band garnered significant attention by consistently selling out their own shows across Michigan and performing alongside notable artists such as Electric Six, Frontier Ruckus, The Civil Wars, and Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr. Expanding their lineup to include saxophonist Aaron Stinson and keyboardist Micah Bracken, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers released The Russell Sessions, a limited edition CD/DVD, in April 2013. This was followed by the release of their single ‘No Money (Jetski)’ in 2014.
Most recently, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers released their album Pursuit of Wonder in 2023. Known for their high-energy performances that seamlessly blend rock, funk, and folk, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers continue to captivate audiences nationwide, delivering memorable live experiences and a dynamic discography.
