Gregory Bortey Newman, known professionally as King Promise, was born on August 16, 1995, to Francis Newman and Angela Quaye in Nungua, Accra, Ghana. He pursued his early education at De Kings Academy before attending Nungua Senior High School, ultimately graduating from Central University in 2016. His professional music career began in 2016 with the release of his debut single, ‘Thank God,’ featuring Fuse ODG and produced by Killbeatz. This initial success laid the foundation for his recognition as a talented and adaptable artist within different music genres.
