Aly Spaltro, known professionally as Lady Lamb, is a talented American songwriter, musician, composer, and producer whose career has flourished since she began writing music in 2007. While working at a local video rental store in Brunswick, Maine, Spaltro utilized her late-night shifts to experiment with sound and record her early compositions. These initial home recordings were uniquely packaged and distributed to the local Bullmoose Record Store, showcasing her creativity and dedication to her craft.
In 2010, Spaltro made a significant move to Brooklyn, New York, where her career began to gain momentum. In 2012, she collaborated with producer Nadim Issa to record her debut studio album, “Ripely Pine,” which was released on February 19, 2013, through Ba Da Bing Records. This album marked a pivotal moment in her career, establishing her as a distinctive voice in the indie music scene and earning critical acclaim for its innovative sound and heartfelt lyrics.
Following the success of her debut, Spaltro continued to evolve as an artist. In 2014, she co-produced her sophomore album, “After,” with Issa, which was released in March 2015 after signing with Mom + Pop Music. The album further solidified her reputation, showcasing her growth as a songwriter and producer. In December 2016, she released the self-produced EP “Tender Warriors Club,” recorded in Sweden, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to artistic exploration.
In 2019, Lady Lamb released her third studio album, “Even in the Tremor,” co-produced with Erin Tonkon, which continued to build on her artistic legacy. Most recently, in 2023, she celebrated a decade of her music career with the self-produced box set “In The Mammoth Nothing of The Night,” commemorating the impact of her debut album.
