Lissie is a well-known American singer-songwriter, whose raw and emotional music has won millions of hearts across the globe. Born in Rock Island, Illinois in 1982, Lissie started writing songs at a young age and soon became a prominent voice in the indie music scene. She graduated from Colorado State University and moved to Los Angeles, where she began recording her first EP, “Why You Runnin’,” with Bill Reynolds of Band of Horses.

Lissie’s debut EP, “Why You Runnin’,” was released in November 2009 and was met with universal critical acclaim. The EP featured songs such as “In Sleep” and “Oh Mississippi,” which showcased Lissie’s unique talent for crafting soulful, heartfelt songs that have become her trademark.
