Peach Pit

Peach Pit is a Canadian indie pop band known for its unique blend of “chewed bubblegum pop,” surf rock, and jangle pop, collaborating with various brands and performing at notable festivals and tours. After the release of their debut EP, ‘Sweet FA,’ in June 2016, indie pop band Peach Pit rapidly established themselves with their unique blend of ‘chewed bubblegum pop,’ surf rock, and jangle pop. Comprising Neil Smith on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Christopher Vanderkooy on lead guitar, Peter Wilton on bass, and Mikey Pascuzzi on drums, the Vancouver-formed quartet quickly followed their EP success with their first full-length album, ‘Being So Normal,’ released in September 2017 under Vancouver indie label Kingfisher Bluez. The album’s critical reception fueled extensive touring, with Peach Pit embarking on their first tours across North America, Europe, and Asia throughout 2017 and 2018.

Building on their foundational success, Peach Pit continued to expand their global presence, making appearances at renowned music festivals including SXSW, Osheaga, Bonnaroo (2019), Shaky Knees Music Festival (2019), CBC Music Festival (2019), and Capitol Hill Block Party (2019). Their growing acclaim led to significant support slots, notably opening for Two Door Cinema Club during their U.S. and Canada tour in 2019, further solidifying their position as a compelling live act. This period of consistent performance and increasing visibility culminated in the band signing with Columbia Records.

The album’s lead single ‘Magpie’ quickly garnered industry attention, appearing on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart and peaking at an impressive #23. With a strong track record of successful releases, extensive global touring, and consistent festival appearances, Peach Pit continues to demonstrate their marketability and creative progression within the indie pop landscape, appealing to a dedicated and expanding fanbase worldwide.
