Deeper Purpose

Stephen Galloway, known as Deeper Purpose, was born in Croydon, London. He began his career as a DJ and later expanded into music production. His sound is characterized by tech house elements, integrating vocal hooks and memorable melodies. He started DJing over a decade ago and established significant club residencies, holding a six-year residency at Egg London and a five-year tenure at XOYO. He has also performed at other venues including Studio 338 and Fabric, and appeared at festivals such as We Are Festival. In 2013, he recorded his first event on Resident Advisor.

In recent years, Deeper Purpose has concentrated on producing original music. His tracks have gained recognition from industry figures like Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Detlef, Richy Ahmed, and Groove Armada. In 2019, he released his “Manipulation EP” on Lee Foss’s label, Repopulate Mars. That same year, Steve Lawler signed an EP for future release on Viva Music. His track “Safari,” released in 2018 on Max Chapman’s Resonance Records, was also featured on Elrow’s “Various Artists Volume 3 Album.” In the summer of 2018, he released a two-track EP on George Privatti’s La Pera Records, which charted well in the Tech House category and received positive feedback from established artists.

Deeper Purpose continues to perform globally, with past events in regions such as London, UK; New York City, US; Ibiza, ES; Miami, US; and Detroit, US. His music aims to infuse club environments with energetic and positive vibes through original productions that combine underlying grooves, effective percussion, and engaging vocals. He performs regularly at various international events and has released numerous singles and DJ mixes, including “The Stutter” (2023), “Stunner” (2026), and “Operate” (2025).
