Pedro Capó is a Puerto Rican musician, singer, songwriter and actor who is internationally recognised for his releases and musical performances. Capó expressed an interest in music at an early age, quickly showing talent as a guitarist and singer. Capó became the lead guitarist and lead vocalist of the music group, Marka Registrada. Having moved to New York, Capó starred in several musical productions, including Apollo Theatre’s production of The Sweet Spot and others.
Capó has also starred in films, namely Shut Up and Do It and Paraiso Travel.
He has collaborated with several esteemed music artists, including Mexican singer Thalia and Puerto Rican artist Kany Garcia. In 2017, Capó contributed to the single ‘Almost Like Praying’ along with huge names such as Jennifer Lopez and Rita Moreno, for the cause of those affected by Hurricane Maria, with all proceeds going to the Hispanic Federation.
Capó released a single in the following year titled ‘Calma’, the release and the video was a huge success and boasts almost 2 billion views on YouTube. Capó was awarded his first Latin Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video for ‘Pedro Capó: En Letra de Otro’.
