Phantom Planet

Known for their iconic track ‘California’ which served as the theme song for the acclaimed Fox Network series The O.C., Phantom Planet officially began its recording career in 1994. The band swiftly gained traction in the Hollywood music scene, securing a contract with Geffen Records in 1997. This partnership led to the release of their debut album, Phantom Planet Is Missing, in 1998. That same year, in September 1998, they released the single ‘So I Fall Again,’ which was notably featured to promote the soundtrack for Sabrina the Teenage Witch: The Album.

Lead vocalist Alex Greenwald released his solo album, Yo, showcasing his diverse musical range. Bass guitarist Sam Farrar further extended his impact on the music scene, first joining Maroon 5 as an additional touring member and eventually becoming an official member of the Grammy Award-winning band, contributing to their global success. These individual ventures highlight the expansive talent within Phantom Planet, ensuring continued relevance and diverse creative output.
