Omir Bernard, known professionally as Popp Hunna, was born on October 21, 2000, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His career in music began to develop at the age of 17 when a song he created about a breakup received positive feedback, giving him confidence in his songwriting abilities. He officially became active in the music scene in 2017, focusing on hip hop and trap genres. That same month, he released the EP “Mud Baby,” which included collaborations with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Toosii, and Petty Level.

Popp Hunna continued to release new music, including the single “Back It Up” in January 2022, which referenced his viral hit from the previous year. His track “Adderall (Corvette Corvette)” was also nominated for Favorite Trending Song at the American Music Awards of 2021, recognizing its significant cultural impact.
