Princess Nokia gained significant recognition with her 2017 studio album, 1992 Deluxe, an expanded version of her 2016 mixtape 1992, which achieved commercial success by reaching number 25 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Her professional music career began in 2010 with the release of ‘Destiny’ under the moniker Wavy Spice, followed by tracks such as ‘Bitch I’m Posh’ and ‘YAYA.’ In 2014, she adopted the stage name Princess Nokia and released her debut studio album, Metallic Butterfly. This was quickly followed by the mixtape Honeysuckle in 2015, solidifying her presence in the experimental music scene.
