Refs is a musical duo composed of Zach Lipkins and Rich Saunders. This partnership unites Lipkins’ production skills with Saunders’ vocal and lyrical talents. Their music integrates R&B, Soul, Pop, and Electronic elements, creating a distinctive sound. The duo initially gained recognition through their mixtape, *Stories*, which included tracks such as “Stories,” “Forever,” “Roots,” and “Pain Goes Away.” This early work helped establish their presence in the music scene.

Following the success of *Stories*, Refs released their debut EP, *Now*, which featured the track “Bones.” This EP further developed their retro-future soundscapes, attributed to Lipkins’ production, and showcased Saunders’ direct lyrical style. Their work with artists like Chance The Rapper and Thirdstory highlights their collaborative experience within the music industry. Refs continue to produce new music, aiming for further releases.
