Saint Motel

The American indie pop band Saint Motel established its innovative approach from inception, releasing their 2009 debut EP, ‘ForPlay,’ which uniquely featured a dedicated video for each of its six songs. Comprised of A. J. Jackson (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Aaron Sharp (lead guitar), Dak Lerdamornpong (bass), and Greg Erwin (drums), the Los Angeles-based group further solidified their presence with their first full-length album, ‘Voyeur,’ in 2012, charting six songs on the Hype Machine Charts.

The track ‘Move’ from the album was also featured in the EA Sports video game FIFA 17 that year. Saint Motel continued their prolific output with the multi-part album, ‘The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack,’ beginning with ‘Part 1’ in 2019. The band saw another track, ‘A Good Song Never Dies,’ featured on the soundtrack to MLB The Show 20 in 2020, the same year they released ‘Part 2’ of the album. The full ‘The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’ album was then released in 2021, showcasing their continued narrative and musical evolution.

In 2023, Saint Motel inaugurated ‘Saint Motel Studios,’ a unique concept for releasing music based on the classic Hollywood film studio system, launching with singles such as ‘Everyone’s A Guru Now.’ Looking ahead, the band announced their fourth studio album, ‘Saint Motel & the Symphony in the Sky,’ in 2024, set for release in February 2025. This highly anticipated album will be supported by a North American tour, ‘Symphony In The Sky Tour,’ in 2025, and an additional performance of their track ‘Get It At Home’ is anticipated on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in 2025.
