White Lies, the acclaimed English indie rock band, has built a significant career with their distinctive sound and consistent output, earning notable chart success and a dedicated global fanbase. After their debut album, ‘To Lose My Life…’, soared to number one on the UK Albums Chart in January 2009, White Lies established their status as a prominent indie rock act. Formed in October 2007, the English trio Harry McVeigh (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Charles Cave (bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards, lyrics), and Jack Lawrence-Brown (drums) signed with Fiction Records in February 2008, following their debut performance. Early singles like ‘Unfinished Business’ (April 2008) gained traction, securing a headline slot at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May 2008 and a place on the 2009 NME Awards Tour.

The band was recognized in ‘ones to watch’ polls for 2009, including BBC’s ‘Sound of 2009′ and the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. White Lies released their second album, ‘Ritual’, in January 2011, followed by ‘Big TV’ in August 2013, produced by Ed Buller. Their fourth album, ‘Friends’, debuted in October 2016 after signing with Infectious Music, followed by their fifth album, ‘Five’, in February 2019 via PIAS Recordings. The band toured extensively, playing sold-out shows across Europe, North America, Japan, and the UK.

White Lies recently announced their seventh studio album, ‘Night Light,’ slated for release in November 2025.
