Alan Maxson is an actor best known for playing all kinds of monsters and creatures, specialising in performance through heavy makeup, prosthetics, suits and motion capture. He has portrayed over sixty creatures in both film and television, including Godzilla: King of The Monsters, Eli Roth’s History of Horror and Blade: The Iron Cross.
Born in Bay City, Michigan, Maxson is a talented actor with a knack for inhabiting the roles of terrifying monsters, often working with special effects and prosthetics to create fascinating characters for horror, sci-fi and fantasy productions across both film and television. His most notable roles include King Ghidorah in the Godzilla reboot Godzilla: King of The Monsters, the zombie in AMC’s History of Horror, Cookie in Christmas with Cookie, The Creature in Sugar Pine 7’s The Woods and The Rake in The Raking.
Though he is well known within his specialty, Maxson has also acted in many non-monster roles, with credits in A Dead Dame in Hollywood, Killjoy’s Psycho Circus and Bloodsucka Jones vs. The Creeping Death. He can also be seen in commercials for Dave and Busters, Robot Unicorn Attack 3, Century Day & Night Spa and Chevy/AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. In addition to his on-screen work, Maxson has found success as a voice actor, performing the English dubs for Netflix’s foreign-language films I Am Not An Easy Man, Jefe and Nothing to Hide.
