Albert Tsai is an American actor, best known for his starring role as Fred in Disney Channel’s Coop & Cami Ask the World and as Bert Harrison in the critically acclaimed TV series, Trophy Wife.
California-native Tsai discovered an affinity for acting at a young age after participating in a school play. At just nine years old he scored his first on-screen appearance in CBS’s worldwide success How I Met Your Mother.
Soon after, Tsai won roles in Hot In Cleveland, playing Scout alongside Betty White, and ABC’s Trophy Wife, playing Bert Harrison. His captivating performance as the adopted son of an attorney in the latter earnt nine-year-old Tsai a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2014 Critics Choice Awards.
Since then, the roles have not stopped rolling in for Tsai. Tsai has earnt credits as Walter in Benched, Pope in Grandma Money, Ian in 9JKL, and has had several appearances in ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat as Phillip Goldstein.
Tsai appeared in over forty episodes of Ken Jeong’s eponymous show Dr. Ken as the main character’s son, for which he was nominated for two Young Artists Awards and a Young Entertainer Award. Tsai currently stars as Fred in Coop and Cami Ask the World, which recently aired its second season.
Tsai recently lent his voice to the character Peng in DreamWorks’ Annie Award-nominated animated film Abominable. With his second film credit, Amazon Lost, currently in production, Tsai is ticketed to be the next big thing.
