Alex Sbardella is a keynote speaker and currently one of the leading figures at Intelligence firm GDR Creative Intelligence. Before joining the team, Sbardella spent seven years at another technology firm called ‘Red Ant’. It was there he both designed and delivered award-winning applications that helped to deliver an overall better retail experience. He would take the lead on many high-profile projects and get involved whenever he could whether that be in the boardroom or the stockroom.
Sbardella currently delivers speeches worldwide and advises some of the UK’s largest and most innovative retailers. Most of whom he has worked with before to help them digitally transform and embrace innovation. Sbardella also led the team that won the Global Developer Challenged hosted by IBM for their artificial intelligence project. Some of the other notable projects that Sbardella has worked on include the creation and implementation of omnichannel platforms allowing retailers and businesses nationwide to widen their offerings. This technology has since been implemented in over two and a half thousand stores across a staggering 50 countries.
Sbardella is a keen enthusiast of smart homes wanting to get everything he can possible in his house connected to the internet and is also a keen runner. Before his time at Red Ant, Alex worked for the Public Sector marketing team at Metia, handling accounts for several big-name clients, one of these being Microsoft. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick where he studied from 2002 to 2005.
