Alexa Curtis

Alexa Curtis was born on January 4, 2004, to New Zealander parents. Her family relocated to Australia from Auckland, New Zealand, in 2002. She began her performing arts journey at a young age, starting with contemporary and jazz dancing at five, later adding ballet and tap. In 2012, she gained stage experience by appearing in an amateur production of *Oliver!* alongside her brother, Aidan. Her early years also included performances in the *Sydney Schools Spectacular* and various events supporting children’s charities.

At the age of ten in 2014, Alexa gained national attention by winning *The Voice Kids Australia*, where she was mentored by Delta Goodrem. This achievement led to her signing with Universal Music Australia. Following her success, she represented Australia in the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her single “We Are,” finishing in fifth place. Her musical career continued with the independent release of her single “Overflow” in 2020, followed by “Dejavu” and “Cry” in 2022, “No Means No” in 2024, and “On the Edge” in 2025.

Beyond music, Alexa has also made strides in acting. In 2019, she took on a supporting role as Jordan in the film *Swimming for Gold*. Her acting career further developed in 2021 when she secured the lead role of Taylor Young in *Rock Island Mysteries*, a 20-part adventure/drama series produced in collaboration with Fremantle Australia and Nickelodeon. The series premiered in May 2022 on 10 Shake and 10 Play in Australia, and later globally on Nickelodeon International.
